Solomon Kane updates again
Posted by Sarika on 20 Nov 2008
JamesPurefoy.us very recently did an interview with James, the actor playing Solomon Kane. When asked when the first trailer will be shown, he said that it would be early next year.
To be released within the first 3 months of next year. He said he has a copy of the trailer on his laptop, but cannot share! He said the film is mostly geared to "15 year old boys." But we assured him his many lady fans would love it. We love him in action roles! He also said he got "wet beyond belief" while filming a rainy scene. He said it was a brutal shoot, cold, wet, miserable. He also said it’s a very violent film and mentioned going to see the London Philharmonic at Abbey Road to listen to the soundtrack.

Thanks to LazyGirls.info, we have a few new photoshoot images for the gallery, including two from a shoot I have never seen before.

New Dorian Gray poster, site birthday
Posted by Sarika on 06 Nov 2008
Thanks to Bloody-Disgusting.com for posting a new teaser poster for Dorian Gray (featuring just Ben Barnes) and a better version of the one posted in my last update! They are both in the gallery.

Also! Rachel Hurd-Wood Web had its first birthday on November 1! Thank you to my visitors and for everyone who has helped out in some way or another. You're all awesome.

First Dorian Gray poster
Posted by Sarika on 06 Nov 2008
Hello, all. The first, teaser poster for Dorian Gray was released. There is no Rachel, but you can see her name in small print at the bottom! Thanks to ShockTillYouDrop.com.
One of the many genre offerings being previewed at the American Film Market is Dorian Gray, starring Ben Barnes and Colin Firth.

While this grim adaptation of the Oscar Wilde tale is far from finished, representative Ealing Studios is granting attendees a first look at a promo reel cut for the event. Also, it's going out with some promo art which we've taken a quick snapshot of for you. We'll bring you a sharper image soon.

Solomon Kane update
Posted by Sarika on 03 Nov 2008
Even more little pieces of information about the progress of Solomon Kane.
Tomorrows the big day....we start in earnest to mix all the elements together and see what we have created. Had a great day with Dan Laustsen and Michael Bassett on saturday going through the grading of the picture..looking cool to say the least [...] The film is grounded in this reality, dirty and gritty...oh and wet being England! Lets hope the atmosphere is palpable for you also [...] the costumes and production design depts excelled themselves under very challenging circumstances. I so want to send you the first clips from the movie to grant an insight into the aesthetic but it wont be long now....

Picture updates

Hello, everyone. Thank you Lauren for pointing out some new candids of Rachel. They are from Famous By Default, a gallery of private photos of various celebrities. Since these pictures look like they were taken from Facebook or Myspace or something similar, I only snagged a few for the gallery. If you want to see them all, go there. I have no idea where they are from or when they were taken! I also added a few more photoshoot pictures.

As well, rumor has it that the first pictures from Solomon Kane might be out around Christmas this year!

Solomon Kane news
Posted by Sarika on 24 Oct 2008
Solomon Kane has not been forgotten! For weeks I have been searching the internet for recent news and found nothing. Today I found new information from a few days ago about the current status of the movie. Thank you wandering fairy. Here are the main parts.

• A number of studios are interested in the project based on the trailer shown at the Cannes Film Festival.

• Music will be recorded by Klaus Badelt very soon.

• The movie is in the last few weeks of post-production.

[...] our enthusiasm for sharing some of the images of James [Purefoy] is brimming over! He has really delivered for the film and fans alike. [...] My best guess is that the film will be released in 2009, hard to pin a date yet but i am sure there will be screenings early in the year which i will let everyone know about in due course.

Rachel in a music video
Posted by Sarika on 05 Oct 2008
A very big thanks to Hugh for informing me that Rachel starred recently in a music video for Madeleine Peyroux's "A Little Bit." The video made me smile and it is nice to see Rachel act in modern clothes! I added screen captures to the gallery. They aren't of the highest quality, but I will make better ones once I find a better-quality video. You can view the video on Youtube here.

Dorian Gray on Jonathan Ross
Posted by Sarika on 30 Sep 2008
On Tuesday, October 7, a visit to the set of Dorian Gray will be featured on Jonathan Ross. Hopefully someone will keep an eye out for Rachel for the site!
Jonathan Ross looks at how British actors try to make it big in Hollywood, and reviews new releases The House Bunny and Mirrors starring Kiefer Sutherland. Plus there's a visit to the set of the upcoming British film Dorian Gray.
The video has been posted here, but there is no Rachel! There are, however, interviews with Rebecca Hall and Ben Barnes.

New Solomon Kane poster
Posted by Sarika on 17 Sep 2008
Thank you to nomad661 for posting a new poster on the IMDb (or one that I have never seen before) for Solomon Kane. This one still only features James Purefoy as Solomon Kane (it hardly looks like him in my opinion). Here is a link to it. I will add it to the gallery soon!
